What to Do Now?
Whether you misplaced your Invisalign braces or lost them to a curious pet, your first instinct is to panic when you realize something has gone missing. While that is definitely understandable, there is no reason to freak out. In fact, you should take comfort in knowing that you’re fat from the first patient to lose your Invisalign aligners, and it is unlikely you will be the last. Once you have taken a deep breath, you should consider the options that are available to you. You essentially have two options: you could revert back to the aligners you had worn right before the ones you lost or you could use the Invisalign braces that are next in line for treatment. Once you put your next set inside your mouth, you have to make sure they fit correctly and are comfortable. Avoid forcing the aligners to fit fully. If they don’t fit naturally and easily, it is an indication that your lost Invisalign braces were not done doing their job. In this case, use your old Invisalign aligners.
